So I finally started my uni course today (English Language and Linguistics, at York St John), seems like eons ago that I was at college applying for this course. Although I don't actually start classes until next week, there's a hella lot of enrolment stuff to do this week.
I do kinda regret not living in halls this year, it's a real advantage if you do as you get fully immersed in uni life that way, whereas living at home I'm just leaving it behind and going back to regular family life every evening. But there is no way I could afford to move out this year, and living in York already, I couldn't get student accommodation anyway.
However, the course looks really interesting and the lecturers seem cool, so it should be good.

I can't believe it's been almost whole year since I was in Japan, how does time go by so fast?! I do really miss student life there, I miss BEING there (is it still called homesickness if that place was only home for two months?), but I'll go back one day. Maybe when I run out of Daiso stationery and the cravings for azuki dumplings cannot be staved off any longer. And I win the lottery.
Ah well.
